Protection of personal information
South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA) governs the processing of personal information. This page introduces privacy rights and the details that Korkage still needs to publish.
Your rights
Subject to the Act’s requirements and exceptions, you may request access to your personal information, request correction or deletion, object to certain processing and withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
Making a request
For enquiries about making a request, contact info@korkage.co.za. Korkage’s responsible party and Information Officer details are still being finalised. They will be published here before launch, together with a process for verifying and handling requests.
The Information Regulator publishes official POPIA forms, including forms for objections and correction or deletion requests.
Complaints
You may complain to the Information Regulator if you believe your personal information has been processed unlawfully. Visit the Regulator’s complaints page for current submission instructions.
Further information
Read our draft privacy policy or the Protection of Personal Information Act. This draft does not establish that Korkage has completed its compliance obligations.
